Baby Sonic Chapter 29

It was very yummy; it was like ten times as good as his regular milk and it was filling up that annoying growl that he had.
Amy: A-are you almost done?
Sonic: Just about.
He wishes to her as he gotten a few more sucks in before he stopped and wiped the remaining milk off his lips.
Amy: You're a hungry little boy aren't you?
She pulls him away and gently placed him back on her bed.
Amy: No looking now Sonic. I have to get dressed.
Sonic: Ok.
True to his word he kept his eyes shut as Amy puts on her bra and dress back on.
Amy: Um was it good?
Sonic: Very good.
He aid finally opening his eyes slowly assuming she was fully dressed.
Amy: That's good…
She took him back to the nursery and placed him by Knuckles.
Amy: Now you two play nice.
She left the room and got ready for bed.
Knuckles still looked a bit depressed as Sonic looked at him.
Sonic: Hey Knucks. Still feeling upset?
He nods.
Knuckles: Where were you anyways?
Trying to change the subject.
Sonic: Umm…Amy was feeding me milk.
Knuckles: Why did she take you in another room to feed you your bottle?
Sonic just shrugged pretending that he didn't know at all.
Knuckles: Well anyways I want to play by myself.
Sonic: Ok, I'm going to take a nap.
Knuckles crawls over to the blocks and starts playing while Sonic crawled over to a stuffed bunny and snuggled into it and fell asleep peacefully.
Shadow lay in the crib and pulled out the blue lollipop out of his quills to look at it once more.
Shadow: Why do I still have this stupid piece of sugar?
The idea of him wanting to keep it was driving him crazy so he decided to sleep it off so he could stop thinking about it and get some sleep.
He dreamt about being on the ARK in a small pin.
But Shadow didn't know if it was a dream or an old memory.
Doctor Robotnic was sitting in front of the computer typing a few things on a giant white lab computer.
The room was small with files of lab experiments inside of them, test tube bottles and beakers, and a lot more lab equipment.
Shadow was warped up in a blue blanket inside a green playpen just laying there doing nothing.
Robotnic took care of him the most since he was considered to be the "father" of Shadow because he was the one up put him together.
Hours passed and Shadow was getting bored of just laying there doing nothing as Robotnic was working so Shadow started crying to get attention.
Robotnic: Ugh, Someone! Calm him down!
He yelled down the hallway.
Male Scientist: Coming sir!
The man raced down to the room while holding his daughter in his arms.
Male Scientist: Here sir!
He said as he entered in the room.
Robotnic: You designed his voice box! Turn him off!
Male Scientist: There is no off switch Doctor. Sorry.
Robotnic: THEN SHUT HIM UP!
Male Scientist: Gee dad you should know what I baby asking when it cries. For goodness sake you had me.
Robotnic: Whatever.
He turned back to his computer and continued typing.
The man looked at Shadow and knew he was bored.
Male Scientist: Hmm…maybe you need a friend. Maria? Would you like to play with another person your age?
The three year old Maria nodded and was placed in the playpen.
She quickly walked over to the two and a half year old hedgehog who was still crying.
Maria: Hi kitty!
She yelled out as she looked down at him.
Shadow slowly stopped crying and looked at the little blonde girl staring right at him.
He wondered who this person is and would she like to play.
Shadow: Ba!
She giggled.
Maria: Me Maria! What's yours?
Shadow tried to talk but all that came out was babble.
She giggled again.
Maria: You're cute!
She turned around and asked Robotnic what was his name?
Robotnic: He has no name. Just call him 1357908642.
She tried counting her fingers but quickly complained that it was too hard for her to remember since she didn't know how to count.
Maria: I know! I'll give him one!
Robotnic: Fine. Do whatever. Just leave me alone.
Maria: Um I'm gonna name you........Shadow!
She quickly decided because of his black fur.
Shadow: Shaadoo?
Trying to say his name for the first time.
Maria: Your name is Shadow!
She walked up to him giving him a big hug.
Shadow: Shadow?
Saying his name correctly.
Maria: That's right!
Male Scientist: Sir! Look! Maria and 135-whatever are becoming friends!
Robotnic: I'm too busy to care!
Not even bothering to turn around and look.
Male Scientist: Oh dad…
Maria: You're a good boy Shadow! You get candy now!
She pulls out a blue lollipop from her dress pocket and unwrapped it.
Shadow: Ohh…
He was amazed at a small simple thing and it shine in the light with it clear blue sugary coating.
He quickly grabs looks at it.
Maria: You eat it! Like this!
She happily shoved it in his mouth.
Shadow didn't know why she did that or what to do now.
He just laid there doing nothing.
Maria: Suck silly kitty!
Shadow thought to himself thinking; what do 'suck' mean?
He was just used to a feeding tube to feed him three times a day.
Maria: Breath in!
Shadow slowly breath in for the first time he tasted real food.
Maria: Isn't yummy?
Shadow just sucked faster and faster deeply enjoying the sucker.
Maria: You so cute Shadow!
He smiled and put the lollipop in her mouth to share.
(He didn't know what germs were.)
Maria: No Shadow! That's yucky! You don't share food!
Shadow: ?
Maria: You keep it Shadow. It's a present!
Shadow: Presssant?
He said as Maria giving it back to him.
Maria: It's from me to you!
He smiles and sucks on it some more.
Voice: Shadow?
Shadow: Hmmm…?
Voice: Wake up Shadow. If you sleep with that in your mouth you're gonna choke!
He quickly gets up with his fists up.
Amy is there trying to take the sucker out of his mouth.
Amy: You can't sleep with that in your mouth!
She pulled it out of his mouth right before it got too deep in his throat.
Shadow: Give it back woman! I demand you!
Amy: You were going to choke! Where did you get this anyway?
Shadow: None of your business! Give it back!
Amy: I saved you! Do you want to choke?!
Shadow: I was fine.
He pouted.
Amy: Well you can have this back in the morning.
She puts the sucker on a tissue and puts it on the dresser.
Amy: Now where did you get it?
Shadow: From the old guy.
Amy: Chuck?! He should know babies shouldn't have such hard candy!
Shadow: So? I'm fine. Give me my candy!
Amy: No. You nearly gave me a heart attack tonight Shadow.
His eyes were filling up with tears and he started throwing a tantrum in the crib.
Shadow: I HATE YOU AMY!!! I HATE YOU!!!
Amy just sighed and picked him up to cradle.
Amy: Shh…shh…it's ok…you'll get it back first thing in the morning. Sounds good?
Shadow cried and cried but adventurously got a little uh-ha out of him.
Amy: That's a very good boy.
Shadow cried himself to sleep in her arms after just a few minutes.
Amy: Goodnight Shadow.
She tucked him back in Sonic's crib with a blue pacifier in his mouth for him to suck on to replace the sucker.
Amy looked around and saw Sonic sleeping on a soft bunny on the floor and Knuckles sleeping by the blocks using his arms as a pillow.
Amy: Aww…my little men are tired.
She said as she picked them up one at a time and placed inside their cribs.
Amy: Good night Sonic and Knuckles.
She turned off the lights and closed the door quietly to not wake them up.
Knuckles was dreaming about an old memory in his days on Angle Island.
He remembered his little stone house with only a few rooms inside and old fashion things.
They didn't really believe in new technology and computers.
The Echidnas always used old fashion things like fire for cooking and the rivers for laundry.
Stuff like that.
Knuckles was waking up in a hollowed out log stuffed with a homemade pillow mat stuffed with cotton sawn with and Indian like cloth with a matching blanket that were also homemade.
Female Echidna: Hello there sweetie. Did you enjoy your nappy?
Knuckles smiled as he pulled the blanket over his nose.
He assumed that she was his mother.
Mother: Aww…Knuckles.
She warped Knuckles with the same blanket he was using and lifted him up.
Mother: You're getting heavy. That means you're getting strong.
He giggled as an adult male Echidna entered the front door.
Knuckles also assumed that he was his father as well as his mother.
Father: Hello Honey. How was your day with Knuckles?
Mother: It was nice. How about you with the Master Emerald?
Father: It was fine. But people were saying they have a bad feeling about the Master Emerald lately. But it's probably nothing.
Mother: That's good. I don't want anything happening to my bundle of joy now.
She said as she bounced Knuckles a bit to make him giggle.
Father: He's going to be a fine guardian for the Mater Emerald one day.
Mother: Does he have to? Couldn't he just stay home with his mommy and help her around the house a bit?
Father: He's a man! He's not going to fold laundry like a woman!
The Echidnas were a little sexist on their women, thinking the males were better since their hands were bigger and stronger than theirs.
Mother: But!
Father: No "Buts!" He's going to be a guardian and that's final!
Knuckles mother looked down looking depressed.
Father: I'm sorry honey but it a tradition among our race. Every first born son from every family must protect the Master Emerald and I also know you wanted a girl because you feared that something might happen to your first born child but everything is going to be ok. I promise.
Mother: Ok…I'll take your word for it.
The day turned to night when everyone were back in their homes and in their bed when suddenly from out of nowhere at midnight a giant earthquake rocked Angel Island causing the adult Echidnas to run outside and take a look around while the mothers ran into their children's room and keep them safe.
Middle-aged Male Echidna: WHAT IS THAT?!
He pointed to the distance as a water like monster walked slowly to the town destroying everything in its path.
Young adult male Echidna: Grab the women and children and run! Men stay here and fight!
Every mother and child quickly grabbed that they could carry and ran out of their homes as the men ran up to the monster to fight.
Father: Honey! Run! Forget about me! Just run!
Mother: But what about us?! What about your son?!
Father: JUST RUN!
He yelled angrily at her as she cried holding Knuckles in her arms who was also crying form all the noise and how scared he was from not knowing what was going on.
Father: I'LL BE FINE! I PROMISE!
With his final words he ran off to battle.
That was the last time she ever saw her husband again before she ran off into the woods.
She ran as fast as she could trying to hold back her tears to show Knuckles that everything was going to be ok like her husband said before he ran off.
Mother: Knuckles. Daddy's going to be ok. You have to be a big boy now and be strong now.
She looked down at her down as she sat down on a log deep in the forest.
The mother knew she could run any further; if she did she would run off the island and fall to her death along with her baby.
Mother: I know mommy's asking a lot of you right now for asking you to be a big boy all at once like this and the last thing I want to do for you to grow up so fast but this is a very scary moment right now and you know I love you very much and I always will. Do you understand sweet heart?
Knuckles just cried into his mother's chest scared.
She wanted to cry too, so bad she wanted to cry but she knew if she was going to die she would want her son to see her with a smile on her face instead of tears.
But the happy moment didn't last as long as she would hope for she heard a tree branch snap in the distance knowing something is coming.
Mother: Knuckles. I just want you to know. I'm always here no matter what and so is daddy too. We love you very much and we always will. One day well see each other again. But I'll be a happier place and everyday is a great day. I love you.
She gave him one last kiss on the head before she placed him inside the log to distract the monster long enough to get it away from her son.
Knuckles: MA-MA!!!
He cried out as she ran way.
She was so happy that he finally said his first words but very sad that she'll never see him again.
The mother didn't know if she was crying out of joy that her boy was growing up as her last memories or she was going to die out of fear of death as it was coming after her.
Knuckles quickly woke up in the middle of the night sweating and crying softly in his crib as his tears put him back to sleep.
Sonic's dream was very different however.
I wasn't a complete vision but more like flashes of broken memories trying to piece together one at a time.
It was about a blue female hedgehog about in her twenty's and another male blue hedgehog that had a bit of darker blue color on his quills who were also in his twenty's.
Woman: Aww Sonic…you made a mass on your face.
She licked a piece of cloth and wiped his face off.
*Flash*
Male: Up!
He tossed Sonic up in the air and catches him.
Male: And back down!
Sonic remembered giggling as his father did this repeatedly.
*Flash*
Female: Sonic? Did you go potty again?
He nodded.
Female: Well let's clean you up.
*Flash*
Male: Come here Sonic! Crawl to daddy!
Sonic thought to himself saying 'daddy?'
All he remembered is crawling as fast as he could and hugged his knees once he reached his father.
Father: Whoa Sonic! You're a fast boy.
He said as he lifted him up.
Sonic assumed that the other hedgehog was his mother since that was pretty much the only option left.
*Flash*
Sonic: Mommy! Mommy! I can say my ABC's now! Wanna hear?
He said with a big smile on his face.
Mother: You know I'll love to sweetie. Let's hear it.
Sonic: Ok! A B C D E F E G H I J K L M N O…
He pauses and looked down at his feet with his hands behind his back.
Mother: What's the matter sweetie? Have you forgotten the rest?
Sonic: No…
Mother: Then what?
Sonic: I don't wanna say the next letter because you'll laugh at me…
Mother: Sonic…I'm you mommy. You know I'm not going to laugh at you.
Sonic: Umm…ok…umm…P…Umm...
He looks up at his mother who was still smiling at him.
Sonic: Thank you…Q R S T U V W X Y and Z…now I have song my ABC's next time would you sing with me!
Mother: What a great job Sonic!
She gave him a big hug before Sonic's next memory came.
*Flash*
Mother: Sonic? Today you're going to learn about Mr. Potty.
Sonic: Mr. Potty?
He answered as his stood there in his training pants.
Mother: Yes Sonic, Mr. Potty is your friend and he's loves you.
She took his hand and walked him inside the bathroom to show him the toilet.
Mother: What you do is to lift up the lid, sit down and do your business. And when you're all done you wipe yourself off and push down on this lever.
She pulls down and a loud flush came from the toilet as the water drained down into the hole.
Sonic cried as he ran out the door and into his room.
Mother: Sonic. Mommy's sorry. But you have to learn to use the potty one day, you can't stay in diapers forever.
Sonic: No! Mr. Potty is stupid! Diapers better!
He complained as sat on the floor hugging his legs.
Mother: Sonic…
Unfortunate his memories ended there as he woke up to Amy's alarm clock in the other room.
Sonic: Morning already…? Man…what a night…
He said as he yawn and covered himself with the blanket to get a bit more sleep before Amy came in to get them ready for the day.
Meanwhile in Doctor Eggman's super secret place.
Eggman: Hmm…it's been a whole week since I even blown up anything. If I try going out in public G.U.N. might see me trying to blow up something up for my Eggman land they would follow me back to my base! And if I do nothing my empire will never be built.
He leans back into his chair and started thinking.
Eggman: Hmm…for a man with an I.Q. of 300 this one's hard to think about.
He played with his mustache to get an idea going.
Eggman: I know! I'll just find all the emeralds and build my lovely empire without fear of G.U.N. finding me or my beautiful machines! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho!
Decoe: It took him a whole week to think of that?
Eggman: WHAT WAS THAT?!
Decoe: NOTHING MY LORD!
Eggman: LET'S KEEP IT LIKE THAT OR I'LL DISMANTLE YOU!
Decoe and Becoe: YES SIR!
Eggman: Good…now pack up your things boys! We're going on a hunt!
Becoe: But sir aren't a few of the Emeralds in the possession of Tails and Chuck?
Eggman: True, but we don't have any right now so attacking them right here right now would be stupid since one of those lower life forms will use them and destroy us in a matter of minutes.
Becoe: Oh right.
Eggman: Useless pieces of junk.
Becoe: Hey we have feelings!
Decoe: Yeah!
Eggman: Shut up before I take you both apart!
They both stop shut up immediately.
