Chuck: No need to lie about getting change Shadow. It’s ok to have accidents at this age.
Shadow squirmed around to free himself from Chuck’s grip as he was picked up and sent back to the lab to get changed.
Sonic: Well look at the bright side Knuckles. Shadow’s gone for about five minutes so we’re at peace until then.
Knuckles: Five minutes is like an hour for peace without Shadow.
They both had a quick laugh.
Meanwhile in the lab.
Chuck: Hold still Shadow! You were a good boy when we did those tests!
Shadow: This is different! I should even be in diapers! Let alone a toddler!
Chuck: Tails! Help!
Tails quickly ran up and held Shadow down to the metal table as Chuck was removing the yellow tapes.
Shadow: LET GO!!!
He kicked and screamed as much as he could as he was getting cleaned up.
Chuck: Stop it right now young man or Amy will hear about this!
Shadow would normally would say ‘What?! You don’t have the guts to do it yourself?!’ or ‘I fear no man!’ but in Amy’s case he made an only exception to be a little scared of her spankings if he stepped out of line.
Shadow: Fine……
He settled down and let him finished what he started and slipped him into a spare diaper that he got from Amy’s yellow diaper bag.
Chuck: Phew…glad that’s over.
Shadow was put back into the playpen and asked if anyone else need to be changed.
Sonic and Knuckles shock their heads no and went back to doing the things they did before.
Chuck: Ok be good until Amy come and picks you up.
They all agreed to be good.
Chuck: Good now I’m going back to the lab to continue working on the ageing machine with Tails. If you need and help or anything just yell into this radio and one of us will be running over.
He set a plastic walky-talky from Chris’ room and placed it inside the playpen.
Chuck: Now this is only for if you need something not for horseplay. Do you all understand?
They nodded again.
Chuck: Good.
He left without another word and closed the door behind him.
Sonic looked at the walky-talky as he crawled up to it and picked it up.
Sonic: You think we can order a pizza with a side of chilidogs on this thing?
Shadow: Don’t be stupid! It’s only for if we really do need something! Not for personal use! Besides it’s a child’s toy not a phone!
Sonic: Gee Shadow, when did you follow somebody’s rules?
Shadow: SHUT UP YOUR FACE!
The rest of the day was ok.
A nap in Chris’ old room in the middle of the day, a quick diaper change after words, followed by more play time with a little bit of TV and with a few healthy snacks like small fruit that was cut up into small pieces and small bite sized sugary cereal.
Sonic: When’s Amy coming back?
Shadow: When did you care about her anyways? You always run away.
Sonic: Well…umm…I really don’t know…I just want to be with her…
Shadow: You’re just a ma-ma’s boy.
Sonic: I am not!
Shadow: Are so. You won’t shut up about her when she’s gone and you turn into a complete cry baby!
Sonic: Stop it Shadow! That’s not true!
He yelled to Shadow while trying not to cry.
Shadow: Whatever ma-ma’s boy.
Shadow crawled back to the other side of the playpen and pulled out the blue lollipop he was saving out of his back quills so he can suck on it some more.
Knuckles: He still isn’t done with his candy yet?
Sonic: I know. We finished ours hours ago.
Knuckles: I know.
Shadow mostly looked at his lollipop trying to remember who gave him the treat when he first tasted it.
But all that came to his head was a little blond girl shoved it into his mouth.
Shadow: Hmm…it’s probably nothing.
He popped it back into his mouth and relaxed the rest of the day.
Knuckles played with the plastic robot he found with a few block and Sonic kept on looking at the door waiting for Amy to come through it any minute.
Back in the lab.
Chuck: Hmm…everything seems fine for normal growth for their age. Skin cells fine, blood cells fine, fluids fine. Their entire DNA is acting normally but….
He said as he backed away from his microscope.
Chuck: I need about a few more tests on their mental activity, just to see if that’s running smoothly too. Tails, can you fetch one of your friends?
Tails: Ok, but which one?
Chuck: Any will do.
Tails: Ok.
He puts down some blueprints and walked into the living room.
Tails: Umm…hi guys…umm…we need to run a few more tests…so how about you Sonic?
Sonic: Me?! Why me?!
Tails: Well…I thought you and I went so much together it would be easier for you to go first. Besides the old Sonic would go first and not give it another thought without thinking of the risks.
Sonic: You sound like I’m going to die or something if I take a few short tests.
Tails: I did? Oops I’m sorry.
Sonic: It’s ok bud.
He gave him a thumb up before Tails picked him up and walked him back to the lab.
Chuck: Ok Sonic I’m going to show you some cards of animals and things to see if your mental activity is fine.
Sonic: And what if it’s isn’t?
Chuck: Than…we may have to do more tests…
Hearing that made Sonic swallow a lump in his throat.
Chuck: Ok first card.
He held up a picture of a chicken.
Chuck: What is this animal?
Sonic: A chicken.
These tests better not be all stupid he thought to himself.
Chuck: Good. How about this?
He held up a card of chair.
Sonic: A chair.
Chuck: Good, good.
He shown Sonic a few more cards but they were getting harder and harder.
Chuck even asked a few questions that everybody knew like; What is this state? Who is president of the United States in 1948? Why is the grass green? Etc.
The final tests were how well he could spell going from very easy preschool words to college level words.
Same thing with math from going easy to hard.
Sonic: I’m I done now…?
He asked sounding like he was ready to pass out.
Chuck: All done. You may go back with the others.
Sonic: Thank goodness…
Tails picked him up and placed him back in the playpen.
Knuckles: What happen to you?
Sonic: Now I finally know what road kill feels like…
He plopped down face first on the floor and started snoring.
Tails: So…who’s next…?
Knuckles quickly pointed to Shadow.
Shadow: Fine! I’ll go! My mind has more will power than your’s will ever be!
Tails: I’ll take that as a yes.
Tails took Shadow back into the lab.
He was given that same kind of testing as Sonic and quickly passed it in under ten minutes.
Chuck: Wow that was quick!
Shadow: I have a higher I.Q. than the other two! Of course I passed!
Chuck: Well you did serenely pass without a brake or pause. Good work.
Shadow: I’ll be returning to my life now.
Chuck: Ok…ok…I can that a hint that you want to go back.
He personally took Shadow back into the living room.
Chuck: Knuckles? Are you ready?
Knuckles shook his head no not wanting to take the test.
Chuck: We just want to make sure if you’re ok in your brain. That’s all.
Knuckles: But I don’t want to faint like Sonic did.
Chuck: Shadow didn’t faint tough.
Knuckles looked at Shadow and saw he was that same before he took the test.
Knuckles: Well…ok…
Chuck: That’s a strong echidna.
A little bit of a smile ran across Knuckles’ face when he heard that he was a strong.
It gave him just enough strength to get through the test.
Chuck: See? That wasn’t so bad.
Knuckles smiled and nodded off into a deep sleep.
Tails: Maybe we should take it down a little next time.
Chuck: Let’s hope there would be even a next time…
Tails: What do you mean?
Sounding a little confused.
Chuck: If their minds are truly decreasing in knowledge than this would be tougher than we thought.
They thought putting them back into their cribs from earlier would be a good idea instead of the hard floor.
It was even a surprise to see Shadow sleeping when they got back from the lab.
Chuck: Getting the body is hard enough but the mental brain is much harder than a person makes of it.
Tails: So what you’re saying is if their minds are completely gone and if we put them in the machine with toddler minds they’ll still be babies but in their adult bodies?
Chuck: Correct.
It was about two hours later when Amy came around four to pick everyone up.
Amy: Hello! I’m back! How are my little ones? Did they cause you any trouble?
Chuck: Hello Amy, everyone’s fine, they’re taking a nap in the other room.
He thought it’ll be better not to tell her about if their minds didn’t fit with their right age when it was time for them to grow up unless he really have to.
Amy: Oh good! I just missed my little boys. They’re over due for a hugs with plenty of kisses!
She entered the room and saw all three of them sleeping peacefully in cribs in the nice warm sun.
Amy: Aww…my little angels.
She saw a little pair of hands and feet stretching out from under a light blue blanket with a long cute yawn while getting up.
Amy: Aww…who’s up?
She smiled as she walked up to the walking boy and pull back the covers.
Amy: Hello Sonic. Did you have a nice nap?
Sonic: Amy!
He reached out for her giggling wanting to be picked up.
Amy: That’s just precious, Sonic!
She picked him up and gave him a big hug.
Amy: Did you miss me? Did you miss your Amy’s?
Sonic shown her a smile and cuddled into her chest.
Amy: That’s my boy.
She kissed his head and screeched behind his ear before she heard a loud grumble from his belly.
Amy: Haven’t they been feeding you?! You must be starving to growl that loud!
Sonic: But I ate just a few hours ago.
Amy: This will not do! If you’re hungry no matter what time of day you should always ask!
She put him back in the crib and walked out of the room with an angry face before tucking him back in.
Amy: CHUCK!!!
He ran upstairs as fast as he could and meet up with Amy.
Amy: If my any of my boys are hungry you know you should feed him!
She yelled while wagging her finger at him.
Chuck: I know that Amy. I had kids of my own you know.
Amy: Well why did my Sonic growled when I hugged him?
Chuck: I don’t know, all I know is he ate some healthy snacks not to…long…ago…
He pause in deep thought and remembered his own son growled when he was picked up by his mother.
Chuck: Amy…did you just said you just picked him up?
Amy: Yeah…so?
Chuck: I think I might know why he’s growling randomly.
They went back to the lab.
Tails was told to leave the room for a privet meeting just between the adults.
He understood and decided to head for the kitchen for some late lunch.
Chuck sat in his chair and tapped his thumbs together feeling like he was giving ‘where do babies come from?’ speech.
Chuck: So…umm…Sonic…umm…
Amy: Is everything all right? Is he sick?
Chuck: No, no nothing like that. He’s perfectly healthy. You’re doing a fine job taking care of them.
Amy: Then what’s the matter?
Giving him a bit of a look.
Chuck: Well…I think I know why Sonic’s hungry when you pick him up.
Amy: And that would be what…?
Try to speed the process a bit.
Chuck: Well…you have to-
Shows roof of the mansion.
Amy: I HAVE TO DO WHAT?!?!?!?!
Chuck: Well…it’s not as bad as you might think.
Amy: HOW DO YOU KNOW?! YOU NEVER DONE IT!
Chuck: Now, now Ms. Rose. Everything will be fine.
Amy: YOU KNOW I LOVE HIM BUT THAT WAY OVER THE LINE!
Chuck: I know-I know what you’re saying but think as it from this way. He needs vitamins and a strong body when he’s back to normal so this is a good thing. Besides in most studies children who feed from their mother on a daily basis grow a stronger bond with their mothers. So when Sonic is his right age again he might be closer to you and even forget he fed off you. I’ll even call Edna to buy to a breast pump if you like.
Amy was about to yell at him some more but thought about what he said.
It would be nicer if Sonic would stop in once in a while to say hello or something instead of zipping right by her and not notice her.
Amy: Well…o…k…but just don’t tell anyone please…
Chuck: That’s not a problem.
She thanked both Chuck and Tails for the day and went back to the apartment with her boys.
Amy: What a day…
She said as she slides down the door while exhaling from tiredness after when everyone was tucked in their own cribs.
Amy: I think I’ll take a nap of my own.
She got into her bed and turn off the lights.
They all slept for about an hour when Amy got back up and started cooking dinner for herself and her boys.
She decided to make beef, corn and mashed potatoes for a quick meal.
Amy ate first because she skipped lunch when she went shopping for the new furnisher.
It was good but it wasn’t anything fancy.
The beef was already cooked, all she had to do was reheat it in the oven, the corn was from a can and the potatoes were powdered.
She even poured a glass of milk for herself to wash it all down.
Amy: That’s better.
Knuckles was the first to know the smell the food tickling his nose.
Knuckles: Is that beef I smell?
He called out for Amy wanting some dinner.
Amy: Oh you’re up? How was your day?
Knuckles: Good. How about you? Are you ok?
Amy: Fine. Some new furnisher will be here tomorrow. It’s a nice blue color so it’ll match the room better instead of that ugly brown.
Knuckles: That’s nice. Umm…may I have something to eat now please?
He knew it was impolite to ask right away quickly ending a conversation  
Amy: You know you can always ask me. Would you like to feed yourself this time?
Knuckles nodded.
Amy: Ok than.
She sat him down in the highchair, tied a green bib around his neck and gave him his little plastic fork and spoon along with his dinner.
The meat was already cut up for him so it’ll be easier for him to swallow.
Amy: You can have a bottle if you want after you’re done with dinner.
Knuckles nodded again and continued eating.
Sonic and Shadow woke up shortly after Knuckles was finishing his milk with Amy in her room while sitting on her bed.
She gave him a quick burp before she went back in the other room and picked up Shadow for dinner.
Of course she didn’t let him feed himself until he apologized to Knuckles for making fun of his people.
He was also told he would get plenty of spankings each day before bedtime if he didn’t say sorry.
Shadow didn’t really care what punishment he got, he thought he could tough it out.
Amy sighed knowing he made a bad decision but at the same thing she thought he needed to be punished to control his attitude a bit more so he would be less angry and cold once he grew up.
He was given a bottle and was placed back in Sonic’s crib.
Sonic: What are we having?
He asked her.
Amy: It’s beef, corn and mashed potatoes.
Sonic: Great I’m serving!
Amy picked him up and asked if he wanted to feed himself this time as she walked him to the highchair.
Sonic decided to feed himself today but he did had to wear a bib.
He was disappointed he wasn’t offered a bottle like she did with Shadow but Amy had something else in mind for him.
It was kinda cute seeing him eat by himself.
It was even cuter seeing a whole lot of food suck to his face as lifted up the spoon very carefully but missed a few times.
Amy clean off his face with a damp rag she got from the sink to clean off his face.
It made Sonic giggle a bit as Amy tried to keep him still from laughing to much.
Amy: There we are. I can finally see a clean face under all that mess.
Sonic: May I have milk now please?
He asked as soon as he could.
Amy look a little worried what he might think if he told him.
Amy: Umm…Sonic we need to talk.
Sonic: Talk? Did I do something wrong?
(Every kid’s question when they hear their parents say that.)
Amy: No…no…you not in trouble. You’re fine…we just need to talk about this in my room, ok?
He nodded at Amy and was carried in her room without another word.
Amy laid him down on her bed and closed to door so no one could hear them.
Sonic: What’s wrong Amy?
Amy: Umm…well…
She sat on the bed right by him and slapped her knees a few times before speaking.
Amy: Umm…chuck and I think we finally found out why you keep growling every time to look at my chest.
Sonic: You knew?!
Sounding a little shocked.
Amy: It’s ok Sonic. No one’s blaming you or anything.
Sonic: Phew…that’s a relief…
Covering his heart with his hand as he exhaled.
Sonic: For a second there I thought you’ll whack me behind the head or something.
Amy nodded a little as she looked a bit upset.
Sonic: So…what’s up Amy?
Amy: Well…you know milk comes from a cow, right?
Sonic: Yes. It also comes from goats and other animals.
Amy: Good, good…
She starts slapping her knees again.
Sonic: So…what’s the big deal anyways?
Amy: Well…the grown-up were taking and…umm…oh boy…
She began to sweat a little while rubbing the back of her head.
Sonic: Amy…I’m just a grown up as you Amy…I’m just smaller while wearing a diaper. That’s all. You can tell me.
She looked at him seeing there was a bit of his old self still in there under all that cuteness.
She took a beep breath again and let go.
Amy: Ok. Well you see-
Shows the top of the apartment roof.
Sonic: YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT?!
So much for ‘I’m as grown up as you Amy’ thing.
But she couldn’t really complain, she acted the exact same thing too.
Sonic: ARE YOU A MAD WOMAN?! I’M NOT DOING THAT!
Amy: IT’S JUST ONCE AND YOU MIGHT EVEN LIKE IT!
She yelled over him.
Sonic: BUT THAT’S JUST GROSS!
Amy: NO IT’S NOT! IT’S NATURE!
Sonic just turned away with his nose up in the air.
Amy: Breath in and breath out.
She whispered to herself.
Amy: I’m sorry Sonic. I was just trying to help you. We just noticed you looked hungry when I picked you up and held you closed to my chest.
Sonic began to blush that she was right.
He was always hungry every time he looked at her chest or when he was held.
It would be nice to stop feeling this way if he really did do what Amy told him.
But he worried if she would accidentally told someone and people would look at him differently.
Especially his friends.
Amy: Well…what’s it going to be?
Sonic was about to say no and forget the whole thing but his stomach disagreed growled as loud as it could.
He held his stomach to keep all the pain in from hunger.
Sonic: A-alright! But j-just once!
Amy: O-ok.
Sonic was told to close his eyes as she was undressing and to imagine he was sucking out of his bottle when she was ready for him.
He was picked up and felt something round and furry on the palms of his hands knowing it was Amy.
Sonic: Umm…Amy…where is…umm…you know.
He asked with his eyes still closed.
Amy: Here let me help you.
She took one of his little hands and put it by the place he was looking for.
Sonic: Umm…thanks.
Amy: You’re welcome…
He imagines what Amy said to him earlier and pretended that he was sucking on his bottle.
